Accessibility Services Coordinator
As an Accessibility Services Coordinator at Travel-UKCabServices, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our transportation services are accessible and inclusive for all passengers, including those with disabilities or special needs. Your role is essential in facilitating equal access to transportation and providing assistance and support to passengers with diverse requirements

Key Responsibilities:
Accessibility Planning: Develop and implement strategies to ensure that Travel-UKCabServices’ transportation services are accessible to passengers with disabilities or special needs. Collaborate with stakeholders, including drivers, dispatchers, and community organizations, to identify barriers and implement solutions for improved accessibility.
Passenger Assistance: Provide assistance and support to passengers with disabilities or special needs to ensure a safe and comfortable travel experience. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking vehicles, securing mobility aids, and navigating transportation facilities as needed.
Communication and Education: Educate drivers and staff on disability awareness, accessibility best practices, and relevant regulations and guidelines. Provide training and resources to ensure that all employees are equipped to effectively assist passengers with diverse requirements.
Equipment and Technology: Coordinate the provision and maintenance of accessibility equipment and technology, such as wheelchair lifts, ramps, and securement systems, on company vehicles. Ensure that equipment is properly installed, maintained, and used in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
Accessibility Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accessibility laws, regulations, and standards, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other relevant legislation. Monitor and evaluate adherence to policies and recommend improvements as needed.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to passengers with disabilities or special needs, including addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, and accommodating requests to the best of your ability. Ensure that passengers feel valued, respected, and supported throughout their journey.
Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve accessibility services based on feedback from passengers, employees, and stakeholders. Identify opportunities for innovation and enhancement to further improve the accessibility and inclusivity of Travel-UKCabServices’ transportation services.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in disability studies, social work, human services, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs.
- Knowledge of accessibility laws, regulations, and guidelines, such as the ADA.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Sensitivity to the diverse needs and experiences of passengers with disabilities.
