Dispatch and Operations Coordinator
As a Dispatch and Operations Coordinator at Travel-UKCabServices, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our transportation services, including coordinating vehicle dispatch, monitoring driver activities, and ensuring the smooth execution of routes and schedules. Your role is crucial in maintaining operational efficiency and delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
Dispatch Coordination: Receive and prioritize customer requests for transportation services. Assign vehicles and drivers based on availability, proximity, and customer requirements. Communicate with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and any relevant information regarding pickups and drop-offs.
Route Optimization: Utilize dispatch software and GPS technology to optimize vehicle routes, minimize travel time, and maximize efficiency. Monitor traffic conditions, road closures, and other factors that may impact route planning, and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes.
Driver Management: Monitor driver activities, including arrival times, departure times, and completion of assigned tasks. Provide support and assistance to drivers as needed, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise during their shifts.
Customer Communication: Maintain ongoing communication with customers regarding the status of their reservations, estimated arrival times, and any delays or disruptions to their service. Keep customers informed and updated throughout the transportation process to ensure a positive experience.
Emergency Response: Develop and implement procedures for handling emergencies, accidents, and other unexpected events. Coordinate with drivers, emergency services, and other stakeholders to ensure the safety and well-being of passengers and personnel.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including vehicle assignments, driver schedules, and customer interactions. Generate reports on key performance indicators, such as on-time performance, vehicle utilization, and customer satisfaction, to identify areas for improvement and inform decision-making.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction. Collaborate with other departments, such as fleet management and customer service, to implement process improvements and best practices.
